Parth Gupta Meets Hardik Dewan on Youth and a Greener India

Councillor Parth Gupta, the Municipal Councillor for Ward 6 in Panchkula, recently held a conversation with young thinker Hardik Dewan about the country's future and the role young people can play in shaping it. In a note shared online, Parth Gupta described the exchange as a meaningful discussion built around one ambitious idea: how India can become greener, cleaner and more sustainable.

A discussion on a greener, sustainable India

At the centre of the meeting was a shared vision for sustainability. Parth Gupta framed the goal of a greener and cleaner India not as a distant slogan but as a direction worth actively working toward. For a public representative rooted in Ward 6 and the wider Panchkula community, engaging with such long-term themes connects local civic life with larger national questions.

The conversation also turned to the broader future of the nation and the place of youth within it. Parth Gupta said that Hardik Dewan's views on the role of young people in politics, and on driving change in a positive direction, were genuinely inspiring. The emphasis throughout was on constructive participation — the idea that young citizens can help move public life forward rather than remain observers of it.

Youth as the foundation of "Viksit Bharat"

The strongest thread running through the meeting was the belief that the country's youth are its foundation. Parth Gupta expressed confidence that aware and active young citizens will be the ones to lay the strong groundwork for a developed India — the "Viksit Bharat" vision that shapes much of the current national conversation. Awareness and active involvement, in this view, are what turn youthful energy into lasting progress.

For residents of Ward 6 and Panchkula, the meeting offers a small but telling glimpse of the ideas their Councillor is engaging with: sustainability, positive change, and a politics that makes room for the young.
