Biography

Parth Gupta is the Municipal Councillor of Ward 6, Municipal Corporation Panchkula, representing Sectors 16, 17 and 18. As one of the youngest elected Municipal Councillors in India, he brings a fresh, modern and technology-driven approach to local governance. A graduate of Panjab University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and an MBA in Marketing from SP Jain Global, Parth combines his academic background with a strong focus on public service, youth engagement, sports promotion and community development. His priorities include improving civic infrastructure, parks and recreational facilities, sanitation, roads, drainage and public spaces, while ensuring that residents have a direct and accessible channel to raise their concerns. Alongside his public responsibilities, Parth has been actively involved in promoting sports and community initiatives through the Ashwani Gupta Memorial Trust and the Sports Promotion Society Panchkula, supporting youth development, sports participation and community welfare. As a young public representative, Parth aims to combine accessible governance, responsive public service and modern technology to build a cleaner, greener, safer and more citizen-focused Ward 6.

Public service philosophy

I believe public service begins with being accessible, accountable and responsive to the people we represent. A councillor’s role is not only to raise issues in meetings, but to be present on the ground, listen to residents and work consistently towards practical solutions. My approach is simple: listen, act and follow through. Whether it is a road that needs repair, a park that needs improvement, drainage or sanitation concerns, or a resident who simply needs someone to hear them out, every concern deserves attention. I believe in transparent and citizen-centric governance, where residents can easily communicate their problems, track progress and remain informed about the work being undertaken in their area. As a young public representative, I want to bring a modern approach to local governance—using technology, community participation and continuous engagement to make Ward 6 cleaner, greener, safer and better connected. For me, public office is not a position; it is a responsibility to serve, deliver and earn the trust of the people every day.
